Essex County Nature Photographers

Capturing Canada's Southernmost View

Welcome - To Our Creative Home

The premier community for nature, wildlife, and landscape photographers.

Hillman's Marsh, Leamington - Owen Kane

Welcome to our digital backyard.

I started the Essex County Nature Photographers with a single belief: we live in one of the most unique natural environments in Canada, and it deserves to be documented.

From the quiet foggy mornings at the harbour to the frenetic energy of migration season at the Point, I realised that every time one of us snaps a shutter, we are capturing a piece of history. But on social media, those moments scroll by and disappear.

I wanted to build something different. I wanted to build a home where those images stay.

Whether you are here to learn how to use your first camera or to file your masterpiece in our archive, you are a vital part of this project. We are building a library of our landscape, one frame at a time.

Thank you for lending us your eyes and your art. Now, let’s see what you’ve found.
