Focused on the Art. Rooted in Essex County
We are a society of artists, nature lovers, and storytellers dedicated to the South Shore.
More Than Just a Camera Club
‘Photography’ can be a solitary pursuit, but it doesn’t have to be. The Essex County Nature Photographers (ECNP) exists to turn individual photographers into a collective force. We believe in:
1. Nature First
We are the visual guardians of the ‘Sun Parlour.’ Our primary focus is documenting the unique migration, wildlife, and landscapes of Essex County.
2. Education for All
Whether you shoot with a $5,000 mirrorless rig or a smartphone, you belong here. We focus on the eye, not just the gear.
3. Active Exploration
We don’t just sit in meeting halls. We are a ‘boots on the ground’ society, hosting regular field trips to the hidden gems of the South Shore.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a fancy camera?
Absolutely not. The best camera is the one you have with you. We have members who shoot exclusively on iPhone and Pixel.
I Live In Leamington. Can I Join?
Yes! While we are headquartered in Kingsville, we serve the entire South Shore. And, our photo walks rotate through the Essex County.
What Happened to the old Shooters Photography website?
In 2024, the Shooters Photography Club dissolved. ECNP is a new entity. We have redirected the old domain to this page to ensure no photographer is left behind.
